Terms of sale

Conditions of Sale:

  • All purchases must be registered online with Auto-X at willard.co.za.
  • It is the discretion of Auto-X Solely to accept or reject a claim.
  • Proof of Purchase or Invoice must be retained at all times.
  • Suspected default batteries need to be approved by an Authorized representative of Auto-X.
  • Sealed Batteries “SHOULD NOT BE OPENED IN ANY WAY”.
  • All batteries that are presented for a suspected, claim must be charged and stabilized by an approved Agent with approved charging equipment.
  • “Charge Fee” apply to all discharged batteries.

 

Conditions to accept a claim:

                Claims will be Null & Void under the following Conditions:

  • The Battery was not used for its intended purpose or correct capacity or application.
  • Failure in any aspect of Charging System i.e. “Under Charge” or “Over charge” causing swelling or exploded batteries.
  • The Battery is out of Warranty Period.
  • If the Battery has any other visible external abuse i.e.
    • Damage Case
    • Damaged Poles
    • Tampered Date Codes
    • Forced removal of sealed cover
    • Arced or melted Posts

 

What to Do:

  • Store Batteries in a fully charged state (12V Batteries above 12.6V).
  • Ensure correct polarity connection.
  • Follow correct charging procedures.
  • All Batteries should be safely secured and tied down at all times

What not to Do:

  • Do not store Batteries in a discharged state.
  • Do not test Batteries by shorting across terminal posts with wire, spanners, etc.
  • Do not allow sparks or open flames near a Battery, as it could EXPLODE.
  • Do not put any metal objects on top of a Battery.

ALL BATTERIES LEFT FOR “CHECK & CHARGE” OR “SUSPECTED CLAIM” PURPOSES AND NOT COLLECTED IN 14 DAY’S WILL BE SOLD TO DEFRAY COSTS.
